Forehead Kiss: Ah, this one is like a blessing, my child. A soft peck on the forehead is almost like a word of prayer whispered in the wind. It’s the kind of kiss that says, “I’m here for you,” offering peace and security, just as a mother does with her hand on a fevered brow.
Eskimo Kiss: This is a playful one, kinda how we make fun of each other. Pressing noses together, it reminds me of how my wife and I would rub our noses with the kids, an affectionate sign that says “You are important to me” much like the warmth exchanged by Arctic travelers in the cold.
This gentle caress feels like the magic that eyelashes do when they come together. It is just like the butterfly's wings caressing you gently, giving you two souls in a sweet and innocent bond. It is the kind of kiss that will make you smile, a kiss full of love and light-heartedness.
Cheek Kiss: Now this is something we do very often in our Goan households. A peck on the cheek, usually accompanied with a hand on the shoulder means ‘I’m happy to see you’ or ‘You’ve done well.’ It’s warmth and positive vibes packed into one gesture.
Angel’s Kiss: This one is as subtle as the touch of dew in the early morning on basil leaves. It could be regarded as a caress laid on the eyelids, it seems that you tell, “I care very much for you”. It is rhapsodic to the love of a mother, gentle and pure.
Finger Kiss: Ah this brings back memories of the good old days when respect was everything. Kissing the back of the hand or the fingers meant you deeply respected and appreciated someone, it’s like saying “You are cherished”
Earlobe Kiss: It is done by taking someone’s earlobe lightly in your mouth and tugging gently upwards or downwards. This kiss can be made more intense by rubbing the tongue in a more circular motion on the earlobe. A kiss on the lobe exudes sensuality and lust.
Seductive Kiss: This one, my child, is not the one that you risk to try. It’s a kiss of a seductress, designed to kindle fire with open mouth kisses and indeed may be some playful biting. It’s a dance of desire, like the tides attracted by the moon.
French Kiss: Ah, the French! This is the kiss of lovers, where tongues are almost like intertwined roots of banyan tree, deep and passionate. It’s a kind of kiss that seems as if both people are trying to devour each other; it sends across a message that could mean anything between I miss you to I want you or even just stay here forever. Nothing else matters in this moment in the world.
Spiderman Kiss: Now, this is something the young ones might enjoy. A kiss shared while one partner is upside down-thrilling, adventurous, like the excitement of a Goan carnival. It’s for those who love a bit of drama and flair in their love.
Lizard Kiss: Don’t get scared with the name, baba! This one’s similar to the French kiss but with rapid tongue movements, showing more of a passion, like the quick pulse of a racing heart in heat.
Bite & Nibble Kiss: This one involves an ever so gentle bite and nibble on the face and then a kiss in a special place like the neck. It’s like a playful dance that increases the intimacy and desire, similar to when you discover a new sound with the mandolin.
Vampire Kiss: Ah, the kiss for those of you that like a little wildness! This is all about the nibbling and sucking on each other’s lips. It’s a passionate and somewhat rough kiss as if to remember when the night was dark and full of mysteries just like our parent’s stories.
