What Strengthens a Relationship?

Is it the nonstop chatter, the hugs, or the meals spent together? All of that is significant, but it's not the complete picture. It's not always straightforward to maintain a healthy relationship. It's not all sunshine and butterflies, nor is it all good vibes.

Just as there will be joy and giggles, there will also be arguments and fights. On certain days, you will both be in agreement, while on other days, one partner may be feeling blue while the other is lively and adventurous. And you know what? That is quite typical.
Even the person we love the most cannot be expected to give their all every day. "We are human beings, not machines," I would argue, but as time has passed on, I've seen that even machines don't always operate flawlessly. However, we do not discard our devices at the first or even the tenth glitch. Why? because they are important to us. Perhaps they have meaning and were given to us, or perhaps we invested in them ourselves.
Relationships function similarly. You value your relationship. Like you, they are emotional beings. Learning to accept and love each other's imperfections as a part of the whole is important. Love survives because of its patience, worth, and concern, not because it is perfect.
